WWE Smackdown - Houston, Texas - 15-02-08

Smackdown starts off with a match again this week.

First match: Batista Vs M.V.P

Batista wins with a Batista Bomb

VERDICT: 0/5 I didn’t get in to this match at all! Batista just can’t make an interesting match no matter how hard he tries. I wouldn’t say he tried very hard in this match though!

Backstage: Edge is looking tense. Ryder and Hawkins come in and say that they’ve got a big match and ask Edge for advice. Edge says that wants to be on his own tonight and wishes them luck.

Second match: Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder/ Deuce & Domino Vs Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore / Jesse & Festus

Jimmy Wang Yang pins Domino after the moonsault from the top rope.

VERDICT: 1/5 Match was way to short! It was pretty good but there wasn’t enough time for it to be really good, which it could have been!

After the match Hawkins, Ryder, Deuce & Domino ambushed Jesse, Yang & Moore. The bell had rung so Festus was in his coma thing on the apron. Jesse was thrown out of the ring and he rang the bell and Festus came alive and destroyed everyone! It was really good to watch! Festus is great!

Backstage: Vicky is getting her face done up by the make up lady and is saying she’s so excited about tonight and says she’s been waiting so long for this.

Third match: Michelle McCool Vs Victoria

Chuck Palumbo comes out on his motorbike and keeps revving it up to distract Michelle.

Victoria wins with the Widows Peak.

0/5 That douche Palumbo really was distracting. I couldn’t concentrate on the match at all because of the racket he was making on his bike! Not that it would have been much of a match anyway!

After the match he gets in to the ring and talks down to Michelle. It was the usual Palumbo performance. Boring as shit!

Forth Match: The Undertaker Vs Big Daddy V

The undertakes pins Big Daddy V after a DDT

VERDICT: 1/5 Obviously this was a good match. There’s not much i can say about it really. It was just good.

Sixth match: Kane & CM Punk Vs Shelton Benjamin & Chavo Guerrero

CM Punk pins Chavo Guerrero after hitting the Go To Sleep.

1/5 Another good match. All four of the guys in this match are good. Again tho i thought the match didn’t go on for long enough. Still it was entertaining though.

Seventh match: The Great Khali Vs Finlay

Finlay pins The Great Khali after hitting him with the stick.

VERDICT: 0/5 Everything that’s been done with these two has been done. This was just more of the same!

Backstage: Teddy Long is wheeling Vicky Guererro down the corridor to the ring and she’s all giddy with excitement talking about how happy she is. I just know this is going to suck major donkey balls!

There’s a red carpet with big white hearts on it and heart shaped balloons in the ring and Edge comes to the ring to the sound of violins.

Edge says in-spite of all the different matches he’s been in he’s really nervous. He invites Vicky out to the ring and she comes out to more violin music.

I’m seriously considering turning this rubbish off! Why is the WWE doing this!!!

Edge sings (badly) a Bryan Adams song to Vicky. The crowd is boooing in a serious way. I am too!

Now he goes down on one knee and asks Vicky to be his wife. She says yes. I say fuck of and die, the pair of you!!!! The violins start up again but are interrupted by Rey Mysterios music. This is the first time I’ve been glad to see Mysterio!

Rey Mysterios says that he thinks he speaks for everyone when he says this is the most disgusting (big cheer from the crowd) thing he’s seen in his entire life. Edge says that if Mysterio doesn’t get in to the ring to apologise to Vicky that after No Way Out He’ll be the one in a wheel chair.

Rey goes in to the ring and the fight starts. Rey does a 619 on Edge and goes for that thing from the top rope he does but Edge moves out of the way and Mysterio lands on Vicky instead! The look on Edges face is brilliant here! It’s the most shocked face I’ve ever seen. Rey Mysterio goes back up the ramp with an “I don’t care” look on his face.

VERDICT: 1/5 When it started i wanted Edge and Vicky to die but by the time it ended i felt quite good about the situation. It was pretty obvious someone was going to interrupt it and it was pretty obvious it was going to be Rey Mysterio. The look on Edges face was worth it all though! Apart from that it was shit!

OVERALL VERDICT: 1/5 A couple of reasonably good matches but nothing earth shattering. If you didn’t see Smackdown this week you didn’t miss much.
