WWE Smackdown - Baton Rouge, Louisiana - 11-07-08

This weeks Smackdown starts of with Edge coming down to the ring and grabbing a microphone. He says that his wedding which was going to be on tonight is cancelled! He then goes on to say that he doesn’t need Vicky Guerrero and he’ll prove it by beating Triple H at the great American bash.

Vicky Guerrero then comes out and after some boring talk makes a match tonight between Edge and the big show.

First match: Mat Hardy Vs Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin pins Matt Hardy after hitting the paydrift.

VERDICT: 2/5 Great match to watch! These 2 guys put on a great wrestling show. Good way to start off the show!

Backstage: Hawkins & Ryder tell Vicky Guerrero that what Edge did to her was wrong and that they’ll stick by her. Then they ask for a rematch against Jesse & Festus and Vicky gives it to them.

Second match: Mr. Kennedy Vs Domino

M.V.P comes out to do some commentary on this match.

Kennedy pins domino after hitting the mic check.

After the match M.V.P Distracts Kennedy and Umaga jumps him from behind and beats him up.

VERDICT: 0/5 The match was just a squash match! The Umaga bit after was hardly entertaining either. I am liking the thought of a Kennedy/M.V.P feud though!

Backstage: Chavo Guerrero tells Edge that Vicky shouldn’t have put him in a match against the big show and that no matter what Edge will always be like a brother to him!

Backstage: Chavo is bad mouthing Edge to Vicky Guerrero and says that Vicky is his family and is generally sucking up to her. Vicky tells him to cut the crap and puts him in a match against Triple H tonight.

Third match: Finlay & Hornswoggle Vs Miz & Morrison

The usual happens. Hornswoggle tadpole splashes Miz after Finlay clobbers him with the shillelagh!

VERDICT: 0/5 Utter crap! I’m fed up of these Hornswoggle matches! Everyone is like the last!

Forth match: Triple H Vs Chavo Guerrero

Triple H pins Chavo after hitting the pedegree.

VERDICT: 0/5 Pretty much just a squash match.

Fifth match: Natalya & Maryse Vs Cherry & Michelle McCool

Natalya makes Cherry tap out with the sharpshooter.

VERDICT: 0/5 This was pretty much just another squash match! Even though the divas are improving they still manage to look like armatures in the ring!

Sixth match: Hawking & Ryder Vs Jesse & Festus

Hawkins and Ryder get counted out on purpose! Then when the bell rings and Festus turns in to a zombie they start beating up Jesse. Jesse manages to get out of the ring and ring the bell so Festus goes nuts and beats up Hawkins & Ryder.

VERDICT: 0/5 This was as pointless as anything has ever been! Boring too!

Seventh match: Vladimir Koslov Vs Steven Richards

Steven Richards kicks Vladimir’s ass! Nah, just kidding! Koslov wins of course!

VERDICT: 0/5 Squash match!

*Yawn* I’m so fed up with this show!

Backstage: Edge, Chavo HawkinS & Ryder are all arguing about Vicky. Edge asks if they’ll come out to the ring with him for his match tonight. Vicky comes along and says that if anyone interferes in the match they will get fired.

Eighth match: Big Show Vs Edge (no dissqualification match)

The match ends as a no contest because Vicky Guerrero stops it because Big Show was killing Edge from the start!

After the match Edge and Vicky look in to each others eyes and start making out in the middle of the ring!

VERDICT: 0/5 The match it’s self wasn’t very good but it was a gazillion times better than what followed it! It was vomit inducing at best! Grrrrrr

OVERALL VERDUCT: 0/5 This show was utter garbage! I’m actually in a bad mood after watching it! There was only 1 good match in the whole 2 hours of it. The rest was all squash matches and time wasting!
