WWE Raw - Uncasville, Connecticut - 21-07-08

This weeks Raw starts with Batista coming to the ring and says that he’s putting himself in charge tonight and that he’s only going to make one match. Himself Vs CM Punk for the WWE belt. Then J.B.L appears on the titantron and Say’s that because he won his match at the great American bash that he’s gong to get the next title shot. Then CM Punk comes out to the ring and says that because he’s the champion that he’s in charge and Batista will get his match against him tonight.

First match: Lance Cade Vs Paul London

Before the match Cade tells Shawn Michaels to come out to the ring so they can have words they should have had a long time ago.

Lance Cade pins Paul London

VERDICT: 0/5 Just a squash match!

After the match Lance Cade introduces Chris Jericho to the ring. Jericho shows some footage of their match at the great American bash and talks about the beating he give him and that his career is probably over. Pretty boring really!

Second match: Kelly Kelly Vs Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix pins Kelly Kelly.

VERDICT: 1/5 This was quite good actually! I thought the glamazon would kill her but Kelly Kelly put up quite a good fight!

Hacksaw Jim Duggan is in the ring with his street clothes on and a microphone in hand. He says that he’s thinking of retiring because wrestling is a young man’s game and thanks everyone for their support. Then Jerry Lawler comes to the ring and talks him out of retiring. Then Dibiase and Rhodes come to the ring and thrash talks Lawler and Duggan. Lawler slaps Rhodes and that’s pretty much the end of that segment.

Third match: J.B.L & Cody Rhodes & Ted Bidiase Jr Vs John Cena & Cryme Tyme

John Cena pins Ted Dibiase Jr after doing a double FU on Dibiase and Rhodes.

VERDICT: 1/5 The match was nearly all Cryme Tyme getting their asses kicked! John Cenas double FU was amazing! He’s amazingly strong!

Forth match: Kofi Kingston & Mickie James Vs Paul Burchill & Katie Lea

Paul Burchill Pins Kofi Kingston after Kofi tried to kick Paul Burchill but kicked the ring post instead.

VERDICT: 1/5 Pretty good match. Action packed from the start. Very good.

Santino Marella comes out to the ring and wants to make one thing clear. The open challenge he made last week was for a man “I don’t fight people with the fallopian tubes!, I fight people with the Adam apple!” and he issues the same challenge again tonight but this time it’s only open to men! D-lo Brown comes out and accepts the challenge!

Fifth match: Santino Marella Vs D-lo Brown

Beth Phoenix comes down to the ring.

D-lo Brown wins with the lo down.

After the match Beth Phoenix gets in to the ring and her and Santino start scrapping. Then they look at each other and kiss each other!

VERDICT: 1/5 Poor Santino got squashed in the match as usual. It was cool to see D-lo brown again though and the kissing thing was good! Santino even got a chant out of it! Lucky git!

Sixth match: Batista Vs CM Punk

Before the match starts Kane comes out and beats up Batista

J.B.L comes out and beats up Punk and Batista and John Cena comes out tried to beat up J.B.L but ends up clobbering Batista instead. Then Cena and Batista end up going at it and Raw ends on that note.

VERDICT: 1/5 Was a pretty good match until the interuption! Don’t know what else to say about it!

OVERALL VERDICT: 1/5 A pretty bland Raw this week! Boring even!
