This weeks raw starts off showing highlights of the Ric Flair Vs Triple H match that happened last week.
Vince Mcmahon and William Regal are back stage and Vince is saying how excited he is about tonights Raw because the type of every match tonight will be decided by the spinning of a wheel. Regal tries to apologise for not hitting Hornswoggle last week and Vince put him in a match with Triple H and spins the rawlette wheel. It comes up a first blood match. William Regal doesn’t look to happy and leaves the room only to be attacked by Triple H in the corridor.
First match Shawn Michaels & Mr Kennedy Vs Charlie Haas & Trevor Murdoch (Strange bedfellows match)
Any 2 random super starts are paired up as a team.
Shawn Michaels & Mr Kennedy win after Kennedy pins Charlie Haas.
VERDICT: 4/5 Very interesting match to watch! Was unpredictable from start to finish. Michaels and Kennedy didn’t get along during the match at all. The strangest bit was when Charlie Haas got thrown out of the ring and reappeared wearing a mask and posing like a superhero! Don’t know what that was about but cool anyway, it was somethign different. The match ended when Michaels hit Haas with sweet chin music, Kennedy who had tagged himself in then hit Michaels with the mind check and pinned Haas for the win.
Second match: Hard Core Holly Vs Carlito (Trading places match)
The wrestlers have to dress as their opponent.
Hardcore Holly gets the pin after hitting Carlito with the slamma jamma.
Verdict: 2/5 Nothing much of interest apart from Holly coming out wearing a huge afro wig so he’d look like Carlito. Holly lost his wig early on but Carlitos blonde wig never moved through out the match! Must have been stapled to his head or something!
Backstage: Vince Mchmon is telling Maria that she gets to spin the wheel to decide what kind of match all the divas will be in tonight. Maria spins the wheel and it lands on a submission match. Vince then distract Maria and moves the wheel forward to a lingerie pillow fight. I’d like to have seen the divas in a submission match but oh well.
Recap of Jeff Hardy/ Randy Orton feud shown. Jeff Hardy gets interviewed back stage. He should stick to wrestling because he can’t talk at all!
Third match: Melina, Jillian Hall, Maria, Mickie James and Ashley (Divas lingerie pillow fight)
All the divas beat each other with pillows and who ever gets a pin wins. Who cares! they’re hardly wearing anything! whooo hooo
Ashley wins by pinning Jillian hall
VERDICT: 0/5 This match was only good for one thing! Guys know what that one thing is! Even Ashley coming back couldn’t make this match good. I never liked her anyway!
Fourth match: William Regal Vs Triple H (First blood match)
Who ever makes his opponent bleed first wins.
Triple H wins by punching Regal in the head till it bleeds.
VERDICT: 4/5 Very rough match. Both men did a good job hammering each other senseless! Triple H ended up winning but Regal put up a good fight.
Backstage: Hornswoggle is asking Santino Marrela is he’ll be his partner in his match tonight. Santino says no, saying that small people creep him out! Very funny stuff! I love when he’s talking!
Video of J.B.L Chris Jericho fued
Fifth match: Chris Jericho Vs Snitsky & J.B.L (Handycap match)
Jericho wins by disqualification
Verdict: 1/5 Boring match. All the action happened after the match ended when J.B.L went nuts and wrapped a cable round Jerichos neck and started dragging him around the arena only stopping to beat him senseless! Pretty serious looking stuff. J.B.L certainly knows how to make an impact.
Sixth match: The highlanders Vs Hornswoggle & Mick Foley (Royal Rumble qualifying Tag Match)
Hornswoggle came out with someone called B.K. Jordan as his partner but then Mick Foley came out and told him to get lost.
Hornswoggle & Mick Foley win when Hornswoggle pins One of the highlanders (not sure which one) soFoley and Hornswoggle are going to the Royal Rumble
VERDICT: 3/5 Not much of a match really but highly enjoyable because of Hornswoggle and Mick Foley
Seventh match: Jeff Hardy Vs Umaga (steel cage match)
Jeff Hardy wins after a twist of fate on to Umaga from the top of the cage!
VERDICT: 5/5 Tremendous match! It was action from start to finish. The high point though was when Jeff went to the top of the cage and did a twist of fate on to Umaga! Fantastic stuff!
Oaver all raw verdict: 3/10 Very enjoyable episode of Raw. Plenty of action, thrills and surprises all the way through.
