WWE Raw - Philadelphia - 28-01-08

This weeks Raw starts with John Cena coming to the ring to a courus of mixed cheers and booos. He grabs the mic and looks almost emotional as the crowd chants Cena sucks.

He says he risked his career and health to come back at the Royal Rumble for the chance to get another shot at the title at Wrestlemania. He congratulates himself on winning and challenges Randy Orton to a WWE title match tonight.

Randy Orton comes out and after some verbal back and forth with Cena Orton says he won’t wrestle Cena unless the fans pay to see it, so he won’t accept the challenge tonight. He makes the match for No Way Out. Cena says tonight he wants some, so he will get some!.

VERDICT: Mildly amusing, but not really! I smell a tag team match with Cena and Orton on opposing sides tonight.

First match: Mickie James & Ashlee VS Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix

Beth Phoenix pins Micky James after a fishermans suplex. Again

VERDICT: 0/5 Boring as always! Ashlee didn’t even get in to the ring. No one cares about the woman’s title! I don’t anyway! They can’t wrestle convincingly so why don’t the powers that be just have them come to the ring in skimpy shorts and tight tops and have them bend over alot! They’re just wank fodder anyway!

William Regal comes out and straight away fluffs his line! “For the first time ever in Raw history, 6 contemb-b-b-b- excuse me!” He recovers wonderfully tho by saying he’s so excited. Good old Regal He announces an elimination chamber match will happen after No Way Out

As Regal explains the rules the crowd shout “what” at him. Will that phrase never die! I bet all the wrestlers hate Steve Austin for coming up with it now. The contestants in the Chamber match are Umaga, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, J.B.L, Jeff Hardy (huge cheer) and Triple H.

Second match: Cody Rhodes Vs Carlito (with Santino and Maria with him)

Carlito wins with the backstabber.

VERDICT: 0/5 Bo-o-o ring! It ended very suddenly tho. I missed the backstabber because it came out of no where!

Backstage: Triple H ask Shawn Michaels to be his partner tonight. They both put DX shirts on.

Third match:DX Vs Umaga & Snitsky

Dx does there usual routine before the match. Quite good this time because they accused the announcer at the Royal Rumble of gimmick infringement. “To the thousands in attendance and millions around the world….He blatantly ripped us off” Triple H states. It was quite funny but you had to be there. DX is getting very old now though!

DX wins after Triple H pedegrees Snitsky.

VERDICT: 1/5 Quite an entertaining match. There wasn’t anything outstanding in it but it was still pretty good.

Backstage: Vince McMahon is ashamed at Hornswoggle for not winning the Royal Rumble. This Hornswoggle stuff is just becoming boring now!

Forth match: Mr. Kennedy Vs Brian Kendrick

Kennedy wins with the mindcheck.

VERDICT: 0/5 Pointless match.

After the match Kennedy says he wants to be the one to end Flairs career. Ric Flair comes out and accepts his challenge. The match is on for no way out.

Fifth match: Melina Vs Maria

Maria wins by pinning Melina

VERDICT: 1/5 This was almost a wrestling match, not quite tho. Melina pulled Marias trousers down so that alone was worth a point!

After the match Santino Marrela ran in to the ring and covers marias rear with his jacket and damns the Japanese for inventing HD TV. Then he says “everyone in this arena is fantasizing about you Maria! Even J.R. is erecting a monument in his trousers! It’s a small monument, but a monument none the less!” You got to love that guy!

Sixth match: Jeff Hardy & Chris Jericho Vs Randy Orton & J.B.L

J.B.L pins Jericho after Randy Orton R.K.Od him.

VERDICT: 1/5 Considering the guys that were in this match it was crap! Only just watchable!

After the match John Cena came out and FUd Orton. It’s going to be all about Cena from now on! I wish he’d retire or just fuck off! Give someone else a chance at having some success WWE!!

OVERALL VERDICT: 1/5 One of the crapest Raws i’ve seen for ages. Not even Jeff Hardy could save this one! The only good bit in the whole show was when William Regal cocked his words up and Melina pulled Marias trousers down! How depressing!

Actually no wait! Santino Marrela was by far the best thing in this show! BY FAR!!
