WWE Raw - Raleigh, North Carolina - 14-07-08

Stephanie and Shane McMahon say that no one is working together and ask that for the benefit of “your” show that people start working together and that action will be taken is people don’t start to behave themselves.

Raw starts this week with Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho hammering the hell out of each other outside the ring in their street clothes! This is the first thing we see of Raw this week! Lance Cade comes out and pulls Jericho away from Michaels and the referees come and take them backstage.

Kane comes out and walks around the ring to the announce table and everyone runs for it! Kane then barks out “I’m sorry!” to Cole and Lawler.

The cameras cut back stage and Michaels and Jericho are still bartering the shit out of each other!.

First match: Mickie James Vs Katie Lea

Mickie James pins Katie Lea.

After the match Paul Burchill comes in to the ring and holds Mickie James while Katie lea beats her. Kofi Kingston comes to the rescue and clears the ring. Paul Burchill heads up the ramp but turns back and enters the ring

VERDICT: 0/5 The divas are a million times better than they used to be but, bless them they just can’t make a match look real!

Second match: Paul Burchill Vs Kofi Kingston (unscheduled match)

Kofi Kingston pins Paul Burchill after hitting the trouble in paradise.

VERDICT: 1/5 A pretty good fast paced match. It was a bit sloppy but I can live with that!

Backstage: Santino Marella is telling Matt Striker that he has issued an opened challenge to anyone in the locker room to fight him tonight. “Someones death meat” Santino says. Kane comes up behind him and shouts “where’s Punk?” Santino clearly scared out of his mind says “did you try the pepsi machine” LOL! Then he says “I saw him in the locker room. The locker room is down there in the locker room”

VERDICT: 5/5 I nearly pissed myself when Santino said “did you try the Pepsi machine!” LOL LOL!

Backstage: Kane says to punk “deep down inside i know he’s dead” and challenges Punk to a title match tonight. Punk accepts.

Backstage: John Cena accepts J.B.L’s challenge to a New York city parking lot brawl at the great American bash. Cena then talks for what feels like forever about what he’s going to do to J.B.L when they have their match! Then he issues a challenge of his own to J.B.L. John Cena and Cryme Tyme Vs J.B.L and any 2 partners he wants. This segment lasted more than 5 minutes! Far far far to long!!

Third match: Santino Marella Vs Beth Phoenix

Beth pins Santino with a quick roll up.

VERDICT: 5/5 It wasn’t a classic wrestling match obviously but my god it was funny! Whenever Santino got the upper hand he would shout “I am a man!” ” I have the power of a man!” I fancy Beth Phoenix now! Phwarrrrrrrrrrr

Forth match: Kelly Kelly Vs ???

Ted Bibiase JR and Cody Rhodes come out and tell Kelly Kelly to get out of the ring. They both start bragging about themselves when they are interrupted by Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Hacksaw tells them they’ve got a lot of growing up to do. Rhodes and Jr then tel Jim he’s pathetic and leave him feeling sorry for himself in the ring.

J.B.L appears on the titantron and asks Cody and Jr if they will be his partners tonight. They accept.

Fifth match: Kane Vs CM Punk (heavyweight championship match)

CM Punk wins by count out.

After the match Kane goes nuts again and starts seriously clobbering Punk. Batista comes to Punks rescue and helps Punk up but wont shake his hand.

VERDICT: 2/5 The match itself wasn’t very good. Punk got hammered for most of the match then started making a comeback towards the end. It was the after match carry on that was interesting!

Sixth match: Chris Jericho Vs Paul London

Paul London taps out to the walls of Jericho.

After Shawn Michaels comes out and stands at the top of the match and tells Jericho that at the American bash the worst is yet to come!

VERDICT: 0/5 This was just a squash match to make Jericho look strong! It’s disgusting! Paul London is super talented and shouldn’t be misused like this! Surely they could have found someone less talented to job to Jericho! The feud between Y2J and HBK is red hot!

Backstage: Jamie Noble is trying to impress Layla and says that the next guy that passes by he’s going to pick him up and take him to the ring and beat him to prove that he’s the man on Monday night Raw. Snitsky comes along and tells Noble to shut up because he can hear him down the other end of the hall. Noble apologises and Layla tells him he’s just blown his chance so then noble calls “Snits” back and gives him a mouthful of abuse and tells him to get out to the ring!

The 2 guys are in the ring and poor Jamie Noble gets his ass completely murdered by Snitsky! This wasn’t a match by the way!

Seventh match: John Cena & Cryme Tyme Vs J.B.L & Team Priceless

J.B.L gets disqualified so John Cena and Cryme Tyme win.

After the match J.B.L taunts Cena to follow him to the parking lot where he knocks him out by attacking him from behind, props him up against a car and then drives another car in to him!

VERDICT: 3/5 The match was brilliant! Nearly all of it was Cryme Tme getting their heads kicked in but it was very fast paced and great to watch.

The car crashing thing was dumb! What I want to know is how are they going to explain next week that Cena isn’t dead! An elephant could survive what he supposedly went though!

OVERALL VERDICT: 3/5 Another great Raw! I love the unpredictability of Raw these days and the fact that we’re getting to see some different people getting in to the main events instead of the same old matches week after week after week!

The Cena getting squashed by the car thing at the end was a bit to far I think. That’s just to unbelievable!
