WWE Raw - Phoenix, Arizona - 25-02-08

Raw starts of this week with William Regal, Triple H, Randy Orton and John Cena standing in the ring with a red carpet and a podium in it. This is a press conference type thing. I’m bored already!

John Cena says he’s got a problem with the Pedegree Triple H give him last week. Triple H says he doesn’t care. Randy Orton starts talking but Triple H and John Cena ignore him and and try and stare each other out. Then they both beat up Randy Orton and then start punching each other. Randy Orton comes back in the ring and RKOs both of them.

Backstage: Mr. Kennedy tells Randy Orton that he’s going to win the money in the back match and if Randy Orton wins his match he’s going to beat him for the belt.

First match: Santino Marella & Carlito Vs Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes

Hardcore Holly pins Santino Marella after an Alabama Slam.

VERDICT: 1/5 I didn’t think much of this match! The only good think was hearing Jerry Lawler try to get Marias attention “MARIA! MARIA!” then he threw his crown at her so she’d take it back to him. That’s what distracted Santino and caused him to loose the match.

Now we get a look back at the Floyd Mayweather Big show carry on that’s been going on the last 8 days. This feud is all The Big Show. Floyd Mayweather is a douche with all the personality of a wet cardboard box.I hope the Big Show really does give him a serious beating!

Backstage: William Regal makes 2 matches for tonight. Mr. Kennedy & Randy Orton Vs John Cena & Triple H. Then he tells Chris Jericho he looks like a cockatoo and tells him he’s facing Jeff Hardy tonight.

Second match: Jeff Hardy Vs Chris Jericho (if Jericho wins he’s in the money in the bank match)

Chris Jericho pins Jeff Hardy with a small cradle.

VERDICT: 3/5 Wow, fantastic! The match started slowly but kept getting better and better as it went on! Really enjoyable to watch. Hardy and Jericho rock!

Vince McMahon comes to the ring to apologise about what happened to Hornswoggle last week. Vince does apologise and says that someone else is going to come out and apology aswell “and by damn your going to come out here and apologise right now!”

J.B.L comes out and Vince demands an explanation and apology from him right now. J.B.L says he’s sorry. Sorry that he didn’t do it sooner! Then J.B.L says he has it on good advice that Hornswoggle is not Vince McMahons son. He’s Finlays son, and he has proof. Then he blames Finlay for knowing the truth the whole time next time Finlay is in the ring he’s going to make him admit it.

VERDICT: 2/5 Mildly amusing. Not much else to say about it.

Backstage: Triple H and John Cena have the most predictable conversation ever. “you don’t like me and i don’t like you” “watch your back” etc etc.

Third Match: Umaga Vs D.H. Smith

Umag wins.

VERDICT: 0/5 Guess what happened in this match, go on! Yep, Umaga destroyed D.H. Smith in less than 3 minutes! Boring, pointless pfftttt!

Backstage: William Regal, Paul Burchill and Katie Lee are sitting down and Regal reads out a letter he got from Vicky Guererro in which she wants to have a match at Wrestlemania where someone from Smackdown fights some one from Raw to see which brand is the best.

Regal wants Umaga to fight that match but Katie lee suggests that her brother Paul should represent Raw. William Regal says he likes him but he’ll have to show him some more.

VERDICT: 2/5 I think I’ve over rated this by quite a bit. William Regals personality made this enjoyable for me! He’s on top form tonight is Regal!

Forth match: Shawn Michaels Vs Lance Cade

Shawn Michaels wins by disqualification after Trevor Murdoch interferes int he match.

VERDICT: 1/5 Rubbish match but watchable just because Shawn Michaels was in it. After the match Shawn beat up both Cade and Murdoch.

Ric Flair comes to the ring and a mutual admiration society takes place between Flair and Michaels. Then Flair says he wants to wrestle Shawn Michaels at Wrestlmania! Shawn Michaels says he doesn’t want to be known as the guy who ended Ric Flairs career but Flair talks him in to it and Shawn accepts the match.

VERDICT: 3/5 Well done segment. I can’t wait to see this match!

More inductees in to the 2008 Hall Of Fame are The Rocks Grandfather High Chief Peter Maivia and The Rocks father Rocky Johnson and they’ll both be inducted by The Rock. I think it’s really nice that The Rock will be inducting his dad and granddad.

Now there’s a bit about Maria posing in Playboy. Interviews with people etc etc. Who the fuck cares how or why she’s posing naked in Playboy. Just show me the pictures when she’s done it!

Fifth match: Randy Orton & Mr. Kennedy Vs John Cena & Triple H

John Cena makes Kennedy tap out with the STFU.

VERDICT:0/5 This type of main event has been done so often i couldn’t give a shit any more! Stop putting the main eventers at the next PPV in a tag match in the weeks building up to their big match because it got old a long time ago! The same thing always happens!

Kennedy did a mind check on John Cena after the match and the show ended with Kennedys music. That was a nice change though.

OVERALL VERDICT: 1/5 Pretty poor Raw! The only decent thing about it was the Jericho and Hardy match and some mild entertainment from William Regal. On the whole i wouldn’t have regretted missing it though!
