WWE Smackdown - Charlottesville, Virgina - 25-01-08

This weeks Smackdown from Virgina university starts with a wrestling match! :O That’s the second week in a row Vicky Guarerro hasn’t come out to start things off! She must be on holiday. Who cares! It’s boring when she’s on!

First match: Rey Mysterio Vs Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder (handicap match)

Rey Mysterio wins by disqualification after Zack Ryder takes a chair in to the ring.

VERDICT: 2/5 Not to bad a match actually! A few cool moves done by both sides during the match. Quite entertaining.

Backstage: Jessie has 2 pictures of Festus and explains why they haven’t been on smackdown the last few weeks. Apparently Festus is at the doctors getting treatment for his very mellow very angry when a bell rings thing.

I’ve no idea what the point in this was. Not only was it dumb but i never even noticed the lack of Jesse & Festus the last few weeks!

Second match: Domino Vs Jimmy Wang Yang

Jimmy Wang Yang pins Dominos shoulders for the 3 count.

VERDICT: 2/5 Another pretty good match! Nothing much out of the ordinary for these two guys still good none the less!

Backstage: Jamie Noble and douche Palumbo are arguing about how much they hate each other then go quiet when Michelle McCool comes along.

Third match: Jamie Noble, Chuck Palumbo & Michelle McCool Vs John Morrison, Mizz & Layla

Not sure how this one ended actually!

VERDICT: 0/5 There wasn’t even a match here! There was a couple of moves in it was mostly it was Jamie Noble and Douche Palumo arguing with each other!

Palumbo pushed Jamie Noble in to Michelle McCool and she went for a flier of the ring apron. When Jamie Noble went out to check on here Palumbo went nutts and started giving Noble a hell of a battering! Then he accidentally knocked McCool down again. After some more Jamie Noble beating he left and Michelle was stretchered out.

I hate Palumbo! He’s nothing but a big buffed up hopeless talentless idiot! The only good thing that can come from the big douche is that the fans might start cheering for Jamie Noble now!

M.V.P comes to the ring and picks up a microphone. He starts talking about Ric Flair and how he’s going to end his career and shows pictures on the titantron what the future will be like for both he and Rick Flair. Entertaining stuff! Now Ric Flair comes out and stands at the top of the ramp and congratulates M.V.P and says he’s very entertaining but says he’s going to beat him at the Royal Rumble.

I like this feud between Flair and M.V.P! Both guys are great entertainers!

Fourth match: Finlay Vs The great Khali (Belfast brawl)

Finlay wins.

VERDICT: 1/5 These two are getting boring! The only reason i give it 1 point is because Finlay kicked the Great Khalis ass! Khali tried to choke slam Hornswoggle and Finlay let rip and made Khali bleed.

Batista comes out to the ring and is fired up. All he says is good luck to his friend Rey Mysterio and he loves him! (huh????) And of course he says he’s going to be the one to win the Royal Rumble this year.

He spent about 3 minutes in the ring!! What the fuck was the point in him coming out at all??!!? Batista in my book is right up there with Chuck Palumbo in the talentless boring douche bag wrestler category!

Fifth match: The Undertaker Vs Big Daddy V

The Undertaker wins by submission.

VERDICT: 3/10 Nothing fancy in this match, it was just a brawl really. Very thrilling brawl though! Big Daddy V is a much better opponent for The Undertaker than Mark Henry is! The undertaker also used some new submission move that made Big Daddy V tap out instantly and then he started bleeding from his mouth!

Next there’s a sort of mini documentary about the Royal Rumble. Who’s was it for the longest time, who was eliminated the quickest, who’s fought in the most Royal Rumbles etc . It was really interesting actually. I enjoyed it!

Sixth match: C M Punk (with Mysterio) Vs Edge (with Ryder & Hawkins)

Edge wins after a spear.

Verdict: 3/10 Wow, a great match! And a clean one too, no interfearance from anyone! C M Punk is great to watch, i hope he moves to smackdown full time now!

OVERALL RATING: 3/5 Is Smackdown was much better than the last few weeks episodes. It still had it’s share of boring bits though but also had some good high moments!
